Mail-order plants
I always find interesting container recipes but it's hard to find all the plants I need in the nursery. I often find myself searching 4 or 5 nurseries before I can find all the plants I need to plant a container. Therefore I decided to try mail-ordering plants this year from an online store, I will use NH as initial.
I do a lot of online shopping and this is a very similar experience. I quickly found the plants I need. This is the part I like about mail-ordering plants because you just need to do a search for the plant's name and you will find it. This is so easy compare to driving around and searching through nurseries.
Pros: Saves time searching for plants in nurseries.
Cons: pricey, expensive and long shipping time.
Do I want to order my plants online next year? I don't think so. It was a bit expensive to justify the convenience of ordering plants online. Also, you need to start early, way early before you start planting outdoors. Shipping time was too long, I seriously almost forgot I had ordered the plants. Before I received the plants, I found these plants at a local nursery at a much lower price. However, if you don't mind to pay a little extra and the long wait, this is a very convenient way to order your plants.
P.S. I placed my order on May 22 and the shipment arrived June 4.

I have ordered plants online like that. I agree it has its pros and cons. Now, the cost of shipping is so high. I probably will not do it again, unless I am looking for a specific plant I can’t find locally.
