Hurry! Free tomato seeds from Campbell’s
... and it's for a great cause. When you request a packet of Campbell's tomato seeds, they will donate 100 tomato seeds to FFA chapters across America. Campbell, FFA, and Urban Farming are working together to grow community gardens in six urban areas across the country. Campbell is also partnering with Partners in Active Learning Support (PALS) to help build agricultural learning greenhouses in schools.

Random pics from Italy
I dug up some pictures from my 2007 Italy trip. Looking at these pictures reminded me everything about the trip... food, wine, gelato (yes... it's all about food for me! Mmmm... maybe I should start a food blog.) But that's not all about Italy, it's such a lovely country and people are really friendly. I took over 500 pictures and these are just a few of them. I chose these pictures just because they are gardening related. You'll notice many of the containers used aren't fancy at all but the plants look beautiful! I hope you'll enjoy these pictures.
Video: Designing a container garden
Just in time for the gardening season. This is a how-to video from National Gardening Association about basic container gardening. Tips about selecting a "thriller, filler, and spiller" and also a step-by-step instruction of putting together a 16-inch container garden. Another very useful tip is reusing soda bottles and milk jugs for the bottom of large containers so the container is not as heavy and also act as drainage.
